_{^{The OECD has recently published a Circular Economy Roadmap in Albania, aiming to help the government establish a robust policy and institutional framework for transitioning to a more sustainable development model. The document comes within the framework of Albania’s commitments as an EU candidate country and in line with the Sofia Declaration on the Green Agenda in the Western Balkans, where the circular economy is a key component. The Roadmap is based on a diagnosis of the current situation in the country and proposes 35 policy recommendations, accompanied by a monitoring framework, focusing on economic instruments, circular models for SMEs, and solutions for plastics with a particular emphasis on marine litter.}}
